Off to Japan

My day

Thought about this tonight as I was sitting here watching some anime. To others my life must look really boring, but that is only because they have a differing opinion on what is fun and enjoyable.

I like being able to come home after work and decompress a bit with some anime, listen to some music, or play games. I have started to learn how to program and that is fun as well, and wish that I could play my saxophone, but can't really since I do live in an apartment.

Just a while ago I started to read "The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. This may seem weird that I only now just started to read it, being a geek and into sci-fi and things, but I have never really been a book reader as I don't like the feel of paper. Don't know why just that is how it has been. I bought this book on my phone, and I can't stop reading it now. I enjoy his use of language, the sudden change in pace through out, and the mental imagery that comes through. Maybe because of this I can get in to reading ,as I always wanted to read Sherlock Holmes.

Long post

Finished taking a java programing class, and rather enjoed it. I have only worked with computer hardware, and thought programing to be a bit tedious. The interesting thing is now I do want to program, and I am trying my hand at it. Nothing fancy even though it has evolved a bit and now has a sqlite db that I am working on.
Hopefully at the rate I am going I will be done with school in a year. Like I said before, I would like to move to Japan, and that is where school comes in to play, so that I can get a work visa and try to find a job that is not english teaching. I know it is a long shot at this point, but I would still like to try.
For those of you that do know me I am a really shy person around anyone, so I have a pretty quite/boring life. Not much a social person. But when I was in Japan last time I felt happy that I was able to talk with total strangers, even with my poor japanese and being shy, and meet some wonderful people.
Well long post is long and I should head to bed.

Earthquake

After the earthquake from yesterday I am happy to know that the people I know are safe. But at the same time sad for all the loss especially in the Sendai area.

Long time no post

I have this here blog, yet I have not done anything with it in a while.
Right now is just work and school. I'm going back to school to get B.S. in CIS so that I can try to get a job in Japan. And seeing how I don't want to teach english, I'm working hard on the skills I do have.
In case you couldn't tell I am infatuated with Japan. I do miss being there everyday since I came back a few month ago.
